A small moisture variance can turn into a large inventory problem. Dried insect protein is hygroscopic, so packaging and storage conditions matter as much as the drying line.
Specify a moisture ceiling and a test method, not just a target. Ask how the supplier checks the seal, the liner and the pallet wrap, and what happens to a lot that sits in a humid port.
The cheapest batch is not the one with the lowest quoted price. It is the one that arrives within specification and stays that way until it reaches your production line.
